New project related to sustainable buildings funded by IC-IMPACTS
The Network of Centers of Excellence IC-IMPACTS (India-Canada Centre for Innovative Multidisciplinary Partnerships to Accelerate Community Transformation and Sustainability) announced the funding of a project that will study the linkages between the Urban Heat Island effect and building energy demand. This 2-year project will allow for the deployment of low-cost sensor networks for detecting urban heat islands and the development of a model linking the intensity of those islands and urban morphology.
Two Convergence Network members are part of the project: Mir Abolfazl Mostafavi and Steve Liang.
